Teddy Bears for #Police – Let’s use @foursquare!

Finding ways to use Foursquare to benefit a cause has been a topic of discussion lately among nonprofit organizations.  This morning, I had an idea that would help police departments get their local citizens involved in donating teddy bears.

If your police department is on Foursquare (it can be added easily if it isn’t), simply add a tip to that location that says, “Provide teddy bears for our department. Contact @BearsOnPatrol for info!”.  You can then contact me to send your department’s logo so I can put it on the bears’ shirts and let me know how many bears you need per month.  If you add a link to us on your website, all money donated from your site’s visitors will go directly to the fund to provide bears for you.

Please let me know what you think of this idea and if you have any suggestions to make it better.
