Bears on Patrol is in the running for the Top 10 Causes on Twitter. We need your votes! You can find the poll here.
Winning a spot in the top ten will provide much needed funding and publicity to help ensure that more bears get into the hands of children who need bear hugs in traumatic times.
If you have a Twitter account, you can help raise money for Bears on Patrol. It is called Twollars, and it is described as "the currency of appreciation". Every Twitter user starts out with 50 Twollars. You can give them to anyone for providing useful information or helping you. You can also give them to the charity of your choice. Registered charities on Twollars can sell Twollars to people who need more, and the charities make 100% of the money from the sale. A sample tweet to give Twollars to Bears on Patrol would look like this:
"@BearsOnPatrol 5 Twollars for you because I support the cause."
You can read more about Twollars here. Please help us share this fun new way to make money for a good cause!
If you have a profile on Facebook, we would like to make you aware of a few things that we are doing there. Bears on Patrol has a Bear Hugs application and a cause on Facebook, as well as a page.
Bear Hugs Application - The Bear Hugs application lets you choose from 20 bear hugs to send to your friends for different occasions and purposes. You can find the application here. Below is a screenshot of the application in my profile.
Bears on Patrol Cause - The Bears on Patrol cause on Facebook currently has 115 members. Once we have our nonprofit status, we will be able to accept donations on the cause's page. This is a great opportunity to reach a wide audience to reach our goals. We invite you to join the cause here.
Bears on Patrol Page -The page for Bears on Patrol is more of an interactive experience where you can write on our wall, and we can share photos and links. We can also post events, once we start scheduling them. You can find our Facebook page here.
